Randy Charles Westmoreland

Randy Charles Westmoreland, 56, of Point Pleasant, died at home Monday, August 9, 2010. He was born August 6, 1954 in Prosperity, WV, a son of the late Charles R. Westmoreland and Oma Lee (Buchanan) Westmoreland. Randy was a U.S. Army Veteran, and had worked as a Army Recruiter and a truck driver. In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Westmoreland. Surviving are his children, Steve Westmoreland of Cottageville, David (Crystal) Westmoreland of Ravenswood, Trinity (Jimmy) McCoy of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Charles Westmoreland of Alaska; three sisters, Rosa Lee (Andrew) Beattie of Point Pleasant, Anita Lynn (David) Fox of Fairmont, and Sandra Kay Mines of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers, Gary (Barbie) Westmoreland of Cottageville, and Dr. Danny Ray (Kim) Westmoreland of Mason; 14 grandchildren; and a special friend, Teresa McCoy of Point Pleasant. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating. Burial will follow in the Creston Cemetery at Leon, WV. Military graveside rites will be given by the WV Honor Guard and American Legion Post No. 23 of Point Pleasant. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
