Michael Ray Robinson

Michael Ray "Mike" Robinson, 68, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025, at home.

He was born October 24, 1956, in Milton, WV, a son of the late Marion Ash Robinson Jr. and Phyllis Faye (Black) Robinson.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by brothers, George Robinson, Marion A. Robinson III, and Danny Lee Robinson; brother-in-law, Jeff Sanders and sister-in-law, Angeline Robinson.

Mike was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1976. He was a member of the Concord Baptist Church in Henderson, a member of the Point Pleasant High School football chain gang and previously coached the Carpenters League softball team in Point Pleasant. Mike was a lifelong farmer and a bus driver for Mason County Schools.

Mike is survived by his wife of thirty six years, Candy Sue (Wamsley) Robinson of Gallipolis Ferry; two daughters, Kimberly (Matthew) McConihay of Gallipolis Ferry and Jessica Robinson of Gallipolis Ferry; four grandchildren, Addison Robinson, Weston Robinson and Cali McConihay all of Gallipolis Ferry and baby McConihay to arrive in April; two brothers, Ray Robinson of Point Pleasant and James (Candy) Robinson of Henderson; six sisters, Mary (Donald) Payne of Point Pleasant, Kay Robinson of Point Pleasant, Leasie Robinson of Henderson, Joy Sanders, of Point Pleasant, Carolyn Robinson of Henderson and Teresa Robinson of Henderson; multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Shaya Robinson and Jared Robinson for being there for Mike over the years.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Ted Nance officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Memorial Park in Milton, WV.  Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home.
