James Robert "Toby" Stover

James Robert "Toby" Stover, 56, of Apple Grove, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, at home. He was born June 3, 1965, in Gallipolis, OH, a son of Merdia Woodrow Stover and Wilma Jean (Plants) Stover. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Gladys Plants; and paternal grandparents, James and Eleanor Stover. Toby was a graduate of Hannan High School Class of 1983 and had worked in asbestos removal with various companies. In addition to his parents Merdia and Jean, he is survived by a brother, Dion (Sherry) Stover of Apple Grove; and multiple uncles and aunts. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Joe Plants and Pastor Mike Plants officiating.Burial will follow in the Barton Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Thursday at the funeral home.
