J. Sue Wilson, 70, of Fraziers Bottom, Mason County, WV, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014, as a result of a tragic accident near her home. She was born July 19, 1944, at Shriver in Monongalia County, a daughter of the late Glenn Barnett and Gwenolyn (Belnap) Barnett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn and Paul Barnett. When Sue was 12 years old, her mother and father were killed by a drunk driver. Rather than have her family split up, Sue raised her two younger brothers while working and attending school. Sue was one tough customer. She survived pancreatic and bile duct cancer, salmonella poisoning and pneumonia. She loved her animals, which included cats, donkeys and her two cows, B.C. and April. Sue was retired from Goodyear-Shell Chemical with 27 years of service and maintained a close relationship with Connie, Violet and Linda, and life-long friends, Iris and Shirley. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Wilson of Fraziers Bottom; two sons and their wives, James "Tiger" and Kim Wilson of Apple Grove, Michael "Bird" and Tammy Wilson of Sistersville; four grandchildren, Evan, Adam, Megan and Mark Wilson; and sister-friend, Charlotte Richardson. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Chuck Elkins and Max Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in the Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Ashton. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. For those considering an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be given to: David Lee Cancer Center, 3100 MacCorkle Ave., Charleston, WV 25304.
