Wyatt Lloyd Akers

Wyatt Lloyd Akers, 55, of Point Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV.

He was born December 19, 1967, in Charleston, WV, a son of Lloyd Arnold Akers and JoAnna (Shamblin) Spencer.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Jessica Lee "Gurdie" Harris.

Wyatt was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1987 and a member of The Regulators.

Wyatt is survived by sons, Dr. James Lewis and wife Dr. Jennifer Akers of Morgantown, WV and Gattlin Wyatt and wife Silvia Akers of Morgantown, WV; brother, Troy Akers of Hinton, WV; several nephews and one niece; and a plethora of kittens.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday September 22, 2023, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Dr. James Lewis Akers officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
