William Elmer Litchfield

William Elmer "Bill" Litchfield, 55, of Henderson, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was a member of the Arbuckle Church in Arbuckle, a farmer on the Cliff Dunn Farm and had worked for Stover Trucking. Bill was born October 29, 1953 in Apple Grove to the late Charles W. "Doc" Litchfield and Wilma Ardeth (Henry) Litchfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Jo Litchfield. Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane (Carroll) Litchfield of Henderson; a son, William Bradley (Lawana) Litchfield of Point Pleasant; a daughter, Kathie Rae (Gene) Cochran of Waverly, TN; three grandsons, Jacob Lyons, Colby Litchfield, and Tanner Litchfield all of Point Pleasant; five sisters, Ann Gillispie of Pt. Pleasant, Linda Bright of Southside, Frances (James) Jeffers of Southside, Rose (Perry) Jeffers of Southside, and Thelma (Ed) Workman of Point Pleasant; five brothers, Randy Litchfield of Henderson, Charles Litchfield, Jr. of Henderson, Jerry Litchfield of Gallipolis Ferry, Larry Litchfield of Henderson, and David Litchfield of Southside; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry Carroll of Florida, Jerry Carroll of Hurricane, David (Shirley) of Florida, Clayton Carroll of Beckley, Donald Carroll of Alabama, Claude Carroll of Beckley, Dorothy (Kenneth) Gillenwater of Robertsburg, Sue (Phelix) Young of Elyria, Ohio, Trudy (Eddie) Montooth of Sweetwater, TN, Martha (Rick) Cossin of Leon, and Lisa (Rex) Wilcoxen of Fraziers Bottom; and many loved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 16 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Mallett officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at Southside, WV.
