William F. "Tootie" Hoffman, 89, of Point Pleasant, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, at home. He was born February 10, 1932, in Maggie, WV, a son of the late John F. "Fuzz" Hoffman and Mary L. (Wooten) Hoffman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Cook, Inez Birchfield and Rosetta M. Hoffman. "Tootie" attended various community churches and was a past member of the Mason County Choir.He served his country honorably in the United States Army and retired from City Ice and Fuel. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anna M. (Clonch) Hoffman of Point Pleasant; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and John Snodgrass of Point Pleasant; granddaughter, Heather Snodgrass of Point Pleasant; a sister, Mary (Roger) Casto of Leon; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Ted Nance officiating.Burial will follow at the Concord Cemetery in Henderson.Military graveside honors will be given by the WV Army Honor Guard and the Stewart-Johnson VFW Post of Mason. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.The family requests that all those attending services wear a mask. Serving as pallbearers will be Tom Birchfield, John Birchfield, Robert Clonch, Robert "Bud" Clonch, Shane Clonch, and Jim Wamsley; and honorary pallbearer, Heather Snodgrass.
