William "Bill" Spaulding Wick, 86, of Point Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. He was born July 11, 1931, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late William Spaulding and Myrtle (Rice) Spaulding. Bill was a member of New Hope Bible Baptist Church in Point Pleasant. He was a graduate of Huntington East High School Class of 1957 and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Bill retired from Monroe Systems for Business and in his spare time was an avid bowler and volunteer with the church backpack ministry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Clarence Wick and Myrtle Atwood (Christian) Wick; a brother, Robert Spaulding; and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. (McNeeley) Wick of Point Pleasant; two daughters, Amy (James) Lewis of Leon, WV and Teresa Beth (Mark) James of St. Albans, WV; and four grandchildren, Jamie Lewis, Matthew Lewis, Lindsey James and Megan James. A funeral service will be noon, Friday, January 19, 2018, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Mel Mock officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, WV. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Friday at the funeral home.
