Vivian Marie Tillis, 88, of Point Pleasant, died at home Saturday, November 11, 2017, after a short illness. She was born July 7, 1929, in Leon, a daughter of the late Denver M. Knapp and Clarice (Corfee) Knapp Foglesong. Vivian was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and Marshall University, where she obtained her teaching certificate. She was a member of the Heights United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant, Point Pleasant Women of the Moose Chapter 594 and a former dispatcher for the Point Pleasant Volunteer Rescue Squad. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Davis "Bob" Tillis; and a son, Robert Davis "Bobby" Tillis Jr. She is survived by one son, William Denver "Billy" Tillis of Point Pleasant; daughter-in-law, Georgianna Tillis of Point Pleasant; sister-in-law, Kathern Meadows of Point Pleasant; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. At the request of Vivian, private services will be observed, with Pastor Joe Nott officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant.
