Virginia Belle Birchfield

Virginia Belle Birchfield, 79, of Point Pleasant, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. She was born November 30, 1930 in Henderson, WV, a daughter of the late Howard Joseph Roush and Opal Frances (Henry) Roush. Virginia was a former employee of the Quality Manufacturing Company and Lakin Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Birchfield; special friend, Arnold Krebs; a sister, Della Likens; four brothers, Curtis Roush, Dallas Roush, Donald Roush, and Dencil Roush; and a brother-in-law, Orville Likens. Surviving are a stepson, Kenneth (Mary) Birchfield of Gallipolis, Ohio; one sister, Eileen (Otho) Likens of Henderson; and four step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Hammack officiating. Burial will follow in the Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant.
