Violet Rose Painter, 89, of Bidwell, OH, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH. She was born May 6, 1928, in Fayetteville, WV, a daughter of the late Carl Beane and Mary Angeline (Steele) Beane. "Vi" was a graduate of St. Albans High School Class of 1946 and a Beauty School in Huntington, WV. She was the owner of "Vi's" Beauty Shop and "Vi's" Creative Gifts in Point Pleasant. "Vi" received a commission of Kentucky Colonel . In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Eugene Painter; brothers, Earl Beane and George Beane; sisters, Mary Byrnside, Dorothy Withrow, Mae Reed and Opal Byrnside; and a granddaughter, Becky Painter. She is survived by her children, Robert Samuel Painter of Bidwell, Brodrick "Brad" Eugene (Kim) Painter of Thurman, OH, Fredda Jo Kent of Point Pleasant and Billy Wilson (Mickie) Painter of Point Pleasant; six grandchildren; Fred Painter, Erin Painter, Kelly (Lacey) Painter, Katie (Chad) Brotherson, Coria Kent and Jessy Ray (Brian) Scott; 14 great-grandchildren, Hannah Painter, Johnathan Painter, Nick Painter, Chris Daniels, Alexus Painter, Natalie Holmes, Layne Painter, Tucker Painter, Vincent Painter, Mark Brotherson, Kenley Brotherson, Jada Kent, Jersey Painter and Lucy Scott; and two great-great-grandchildren, Pazleigh Painter and Cameron Daniels. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Joe Nott officiating. Burial will follow at the Vinton Memorial Park in Vinton, OH. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Monday at the funeral home.
