Violet Mae Cofer, 76, of Gallipolis Ferry, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the home of her daughter, Regenia Gillespie in Land O'Lakes, Florida. She was a member of Wyoma Pentecostal Church in Gallipolis Ferry, had worked at Holzer Medical Center in medical records and was a retired teacher's aide from Beale Elementary. Violet was born January 6, 1933 in Gallipolis Ferry to the late Carl Clonch and Gladys Faye (Pearson) Clonch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore Nibert; and second husband, Kennard Lee Cofer. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Regenia and Steve Gillespie of Land O' Lakes, Florida; a grandson, David Clayton Thomas of Land O'Lakes; and two sisters, Mary Dowell of Henderson; and Margie Messick of Gallipolis Ferry. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 at the Wyoma Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Roger Bonecutter officiating. Burial will follow in the Wyoma Cemetery.
