Vina Marie Johnson

Vina Marie Johnson, 78, of Henderson died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at the Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. She was a homemaker and had attended the Full Gospel Church at Pliny, WV. Vina was born June 12, 1928 in Buffalo, WV to the late David W. Gillispie and Elizabeth Ellen (Barber) Gillispie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Johnson; sisters, Betty Jane Gillispie, Stella Eads, Mary Runion, and Ethel Jeffers; and brothers, Melvin Gillispie, Carl Gillispie, and John Gillispie. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Serena Bright of Henderson; sister and brother-in-law, Bessie and Herman Estep of Mason; brothers and sister-in law, Gordon and Ruby Gillispie of Gallipolis Ferry; and Gilbert Gillispie of Point Pleasant; a granddaughter, Chanda Bright, and a special niece, Mary Gillispie. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Pastor Gay Withrow officiating. Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery in Henderson. Visitation is Friday, March 30 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
