Tony Lee Sturgeon

Tony Lee Sturgeon, 64, of Ashton, WV, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, in Huntington, WV.

He was born July 2, 1958, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Calvin L. "Pood" Sturgeon and Betty Carolyn (Tolliver) Sturgeon of Ashton.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Wayne Sturgeon; and a niece, Tasha Ann Sturgeon.

Tony was a graduate of Hannan High School, Class of 1976.  He was a former employee at the West Virginia National Guard and American Car and Foundry.

Tony is survived by his mother, Betty of Ashton; wife, Katrina (Sheets) Cooper of Milton, WV; and many additional family and friends.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Ashton, with Wayne Richardson and Charles "Doodle" Tolliver officiating.

Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.
