Tina Renee "Tr" Richardson

Tina Renee "TR" Richardson, 50, of Ashton, passed away, Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington, from a battle with Huntington's Disease. She was born March 4, 1970, in Huntington, a daughter to the late William (Bill) Richardson and Charlotte Ann (Tolliver) Richardson of Ashton. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Dale Hill; grandparents, John (Don) Tolliver and Lola Belle (Scarberry) Tolliver and James (Jimmy) and Lucille Richardson. Tina was a graduate of Hannan High School Class of 1988 and was voted "Miss Wildcat" that same year. She furthered her education at Muskingum College in New Concord, OH, graduating in May of 1992 with a Bachelor of Science Degree, with Biology (major) and Chemistry (minor) and in May 1994 graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, PA, with a Master of Arts, Students Affairs in Higher Education. Tina received several Certifications/Professional Affiliations/Awards throughout her career. Tina was so loved by so many people that she had become friends with throughout her journey in life. She loved life to its fullest and her family, especially her companion, Finn. She never met a stranger. She had a love for WVU football and basketball, and the UConn girls basketball. Tina will always be remembered for her smile and hugs to all she came in contact with. She was definitely an inspiration to us all. She is survived by her mother, Charlotte Ann (Tolliver) Richardson of Ashton; brothers, Gregory Keith (Karen) Hill of Gallipolis Ferry and Kenneth Wayne (Robin) Richardson of Fraziers Bottom, WV. She is also survived by special nieces, Sarah Beth Hill of Gallipolis Ferry, Mindy R. (Josh) Adkins of Huntington; nephews, Larry Todd Hill of the United States Navy, James Mitchell (Cierra) Richardson of Livermore, CA; godfather, Bill G. Kauffer of Ashton; great nieces, Kylee Deanna Hill of Gallatin, TN; great nephews, Easton Todd Hill of Gallatin, Gage Lee Adkins of Huntington and Cash Mitchell Richardson of Livermore; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A graveside service and burial will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2020, at the Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Ashton, with Pastor Ronald Long officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by donating to the Huntington's Disease Association or an Animal Shelter of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. Due to the recommendations and guidelines of this unprecedented restricted time, there will be no public visitation.
