Terrance Franklin Blankenship, 67, of Gallipolis, Ohio, died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at home. He was born January 24, 1948 in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Okey Pearl Blankenship and Virginia Ann (Camden) Blankenship. Terrance was a former employee of Foote Mineral Company in New Haven and enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Nitz, Jo Ann Blankenship and Rachel Parsons; and four brothers, Johnny, David, Roger and Okey Blankenship Jr. He is survived by his children, Michael Wayne (Hilda) Blankenship of Leon, Christie Dawn (Blankenship) Fields of Leon, Terri Lynn (Blankenship) Vanhoose of Point Pleasant and Dora Jean (Blankenship) Hart of Point Pleasant; sixteen grandchildren, Christopher M. Blankenship, Andrea M. Blankenship, Tyler Blankenship, Brittany N. Blankenship, Corey D. Blankenship, D.J. Fields, Caden A. Fields, Halee R. Vanhoose, Robbie E. Merle, Dakota A.X. McNeely, Wesley E. P. Hill, Donnavon T. Mayes, Owen J. Blankenship, Pricila M. Patterson, Nirvana R. Pearson, and Brantley M. Wilson; one great-grandson, Evander Z. Fields and another great grandchild arriving soon. Also surviving, are two sisters, Margaret (Harvey) Lewis of Gallipolis Ferry and Martha Meadows of Orange Park, FL; and two brothers, George Blankenship of Point Pleasant and Preston (Carol) Blankenship of Myrtle Beach, SC. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Randy Parsons officiating.
