Tasha Ann Meeks Sturgeon

Tasha Ann Meeks Sturgeon, 30, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, died Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at home. She was born September 2, 1981 in Gallipolis, Ohio, a daughter of Paul Wayne Sturgeon of Gallipolis Ferry, and Gay Marie "Sissy" (Meeks) Davis of Gallipolis Ferry. Tasha was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Calvin "Pood" Sturgeon; aunt, Betty Meeks; and a nephew, David Allen Meeks. Surviving in addition to her parents, are her fiance', Darren Gene Rhodes of Gallipolis Ferry; one son, Dante Gene Rhodes of Gallipolis Ferry; a brother, David Shawn Meeks of Gallipolis Ferry and fiancee' Tesa June Gibson; stepfather, Robert Davis of Southside; paternal grandmother, Betty Sturgeon of Ashton; and maternal grandparents, Gay Otis Meeks and Nancy Lou Meeks of Gallipolis Ferry. Also surviving are a special niece, Leslie Ann Meeks of Gallipolis Ferry; special cousins, Jessie Cooper of Milton, WV and Samantha Abrams of Southside; aunt, Bessie Ann Meeks of Gallipolis Ferry; uncle, Tony Lee Sturgeon and Katrina Cooper of Ashton; and special angel, Max Spurlock. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Max Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in the Moores Chapel Cemetery at Ashton.
