Susie Anna Matheny

Susie Anna Matheny, 60, of Point Pleasant, WV, died Monday, August 24, 2009 at home. She was a member of New Hope Bible Baptist Church in Point Pleasant, a homemaker, former caregiver for the Mason County Action, and had worked as a substitute cook and custodian for the Mason County Schools. Sue was born September 24, 1948 in Evans, WV, daughter of the late Richard Sayre and Stella May (Click) Sayre of Evans. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Dennis R. Matheny of Point Pleasant; a son, Daniel R. Matheny of Point Pleasant; two sisters, Marie (Robert) Withrow of Cross Lanes, WV and Dorothy (Paul) Grimm of Letart; three brothers, Allen (Jan) Sayre of Point Pleasant, Richard Sayre of Pine Grove, WV, and Dwight (Mylinda) Sayre of Evans. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2009, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Swisher officiating. Private burial will be observed. Visitation will be Friday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in memory of Sue to "Susan G.
