Susan Kay Vansickle

Susan Kay VanSickle, 59, of Southside, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. She was born October 11, 1958, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Harold Bush Jr. and Vonceil E. (Baird) Bush. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Iva Jean Bush. Susan was a member of the Rodney Pike Church of God in Rodney, OH. She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1976 and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Phil S. VanSickle of Southside; three daughters, Philicia V. (Jonny) Roberts, Kaylahni J. Kensler and Tierra R. VanSickle all of Southside; and three grandchildren, Hunter Randolph, Kemari Roberts and Haven Randolph. She is also survived by two sisters, Deborah A. (James) Dunn of Southside and Connie L. (Johnny) McCarty of Apple Grove; and one brother, Lewis Edward Bush of Southside. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Ron Bynum officiating. Burial will follow at the Harmony Cemetery in Southside. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Thursday at the funeral home. Susan dearly loved Christmas, so her family requests that you bring a Christmas ornament and place it on her Christmas tree before the funeral service.
