Steven Wayne Baker, 56, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at home. He was born November 19, 1960, in Point Pleasant, a son of Warren Baker of Leon and the late Adda E. (Donohue) Baker. Steve worked as a crane operator at Constellium in Ravenswood. He was a member of the Siloam Lodge 456 F & AM of Cheshire, OH and United Steelworkers Union 5668 of Ravenswood. Steve loved to ride his Harley Davidson. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Barbara Jo (Rayburn) Baker of Gallipolis Ferry; a son, Jacob H. Baker of New Haven; stepson, Jeremy Burris of Gallipolis Ferry; and two grandchildren, Jaylen Burris and Kryslen Burris of Letart. He is also survived by one sister, Pamela A. Roach of Point Pleasant; a brother, David C. (Lisa) Baker of Bidwell, OH; stepmother, Lois Baker of Leon; three nieces, Hannah M. Roach of Point Pleasant, Brittney Spurlock of Bidwell and Madisyn Spurlock of Bidwell; and a nephew, Ethan C. Spurlock of Bidwell. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Ted Nance officiating. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
