Army Infantry Captain Stephen Michael Bossie, 66, of Point Pleasant, died Sunday, March 20, 2016, at home. He was born October 4, 1949, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Shirley Michael Bossie and Mary Kathleen (Myers) Bossie. Stephen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Point Pleasant. He was a graduate of Charleston Catholic High School Class of 1967 and West Virginia State University in 1971. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and retired from Forward Air Company in Columbus, OH. He is survived by his wife, Diana A. (Bracken) Bossie of Point Pleasant; a son, Scott Michael (Melissa) Bossie of Charleston, WV; one daughter, Margaret Elizabeth (Chris) Priddy of Winston Salem, NC; a step-daughter, Valeri (Steven) Schoon of Apple Grove, WV; one step-son, Daniel (Emily) Ball of Lake Ozark, MO; and 13 grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters and brothers, Mary Louise (Bill) Holdren of Pendergrass, GA, Ann Teresa (Paul) Wheeler of South Charleston, Joseph (Debbie) Bossie of Lithia Springs, GA, Charles Bossie of South Charleston, WV and Andrew (Andrea) Bossie of Villa Rica, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Prakash Sebastian officiating and Pastor Jonathan Pinson speaking after communion. Military honors will be given by the West Virginia Army Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
