Shirley Edward Voiers

Shirley Edward Voiers, 68, of Gallipolis Ferry, died Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born October 10, 1942 in Sharon, WV, a son of the late Andrew Jackson Voiers and Mary Luella (Daylong) Voiers. Shirley was a former employee of Standard Products. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Ray Boggs Jr.; and two brothers, Tommy Voiers and George Voiers. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Marie (Young) Lillard Voiers of Gallipolis Ferry; one daughter, Regina K.(Voiers) Lyke and husband, Phil of Shalersville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Katie (Jeremy) Myers, Nichole Lyke, Ashley Lyke, Emily Lyke, and Phillip Lyke Jr. all of Shalersville; three great grandchildren, Jeremy Myers Jr., Jacob Myers, and Jaden Lyke; one brother, Russell (Norma) Voiers of Millwood, WV; two foster sisters, Bev Bosworth of Cleveland, Ohio, and Martha Murphy of Gallipolis Ferry, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Charlie McKinzie officiating.
