Shirley F. Campbell, 83, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, OH. He was born September 3, 1937, in Hogsett, WV, a son of the late Fred Thomas Campbell and Audrey Virginia (Bush) Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Davis and Louise "Sis" McCallister; and five brothers, Rev. Marlin Campbell, John Campbell, Sr., Garland Richard Campbell, Lee Campbell and James Olin Campbell. Shirley attended the Millstone Church and Mount Carmel Church and retired from the West Virginia Department of Transportation. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Maddie Joan (Stover) Campbell of Gallipolis Ferry; a son, Shirl "Chris" Campbell and wife Phyllis of Gallipolis Ferry; one daughter, Samantha L. Campbell and James Moats of Gallipolis Ferry; two granddaughters, Audrey Celeste Campbell and Jasmine Lee (Shaun) Carter; future great grandson, Maddox Brooks Carter and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a special nephew, Jack Campbell. A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2020, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Social distancing will be observed and face masks are required. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in Shirley's memory to your favorite local charity.
