Sherry Lee Cogar

Sherry Lee Cogar, 76, of Letart, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020, at home. She was born May 11, 1944, in Point Pleasant, WV, a daughter of the late Pearl Hayman and Stella Belle (Harmon) Hayman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Vernon Cogar; three sisters, Mae Adkins, Helen Pratt and Eleanor Long; and two brothers, James Hayman and Stevie Hayman. She is survived by two sons, Terry Stephen (Matilda) Cogar of Point Pleasant, and William Michael (Ronna) Cogar of Letart; two grandchildren, Terry Cogar, Jr of Point Pleasant and Nathan Cogar of Letart; a sister, Esther Patterson of Gallipolis Ferry; and a brother, Paul "Bucky" Hayman of Point Pleasant. There will be no visitation and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
