Shelva Dean Caruthers

Shelva Dean Caruthers, 87, of Point Pleasant, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH.

He was born March 19, 1936, in Alcot, West Virginia, a son of the late Fred and Patrotha M. (Turley) Caruthers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and eight brothers.

Shelva was a graduate of Sherman High School Class of 1954 and a retired millwright from the Kaiser Aluminum Plant with 42 years service.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jessie M. (Ball) Caruthers; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Misty Caruthers of Point Pleasant; daughter, Teresa Turner of Point Pleasant; four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in the Barker Cemetery in Ashford, WV.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
