Shelia Lynn Moore

Shelia Lynn Moore, 66, of Henderson, WV, went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, December 28, 2023, at home.

She was born July 19, 1957, in Gallipolis, OH, a daughter of the late Douglas "Pete" Mitchell and Betty Jane (Likens) Mitchell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Belmont "Buckie" Moore III; and a brother, Granville D. "Pete" Mitchell.

Shelia was a loving mother and grandmother, and her main desire was to see all of her family get saved and for them to spend eternity in Heaven together. She loved attending church and serving the Lord at her home church, Silver Memorial F.W.B., where she sang in a gospel group with her family as The Mitchell Family. "Get ready because Jesus is coming soon" is something she would always say and never failed to witness. Her testimony was always this: "I thank Jesus for dying on the cross for my sins, I thank him for saving my soul and I love him". Many precious memories were made during trips in the old green van and while going out to eat. Car rides and family trips to Tennessee were two of her favorite things. She always thought of others first and was a very giving person.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacy (Chuck) Litchfield of Point Pleasant; son, Brandon Moore of Henderson; two grandchildren, Kelly (Devin) Kincaid of Point Pleasant and Justin (Miranda) Litchfield of Henderson; two great grandsons, John Michael Kincaid and Grayson Cole Kincaid; three sisters, Carolyn (Robert) Wamsley of Gallipolis Ferry, Mary Jane (Charles) Fisher of Delaware, OH and Gail (Dusty) Chapman of Gallipolis Ferry; a sister-in-law, Sandra Sue Mitchell of Henderson; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Preacher Brandon Moore officiating.  Burial will follow at the Lone Oak Rogers Cemetery in Henderson. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
