Shela Jane Miller

Shela Jane Calloway Miller, 79, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born 1943, in Henderson, WV, a daughter of Harry and Elizabeth (Rogers) Calloway. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Hope and grandson Joseph Miller. Shela is survived by her husband of 62 years, George Miller of Point Pleasant, sons, Mark (Sherri) Miller of Point Pleasant, Jeff (Marnie) Miller of Pataskala, OH and daughter, Jodi (Josh) Monroe of Jersey City, NJ. Shela is a proud grandmother to Tyler (Sarah), Katelynn and Lauren Miller, as well as a great-grandmother to Carolina and Judah Miller. Shela is also survived by her beloved sister Myra Kaye Legg of Point Pleasant.Shela is a lifetime member of the Henderson Church of Christ in Henderson, WV. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Bill Deem officiating. Graveside services will be at the Rogers Cemetery in Henderson for family only. The family will receive friends one hour prior (1pm) to the funeral service Saturday at the funeral home. The family of Shela Miller want to especially thank the nurses, aides and doctors at Hospice of Huntington for their support and encouragement. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Hospice of Huntington in memory of Shela.
