Sean Matthew Capehart

Sean Matthew Capehart, 53, of Huntington, WV, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at home.

He was born September 7, 1970, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada.  Sean is the son of Dr. William L. Capehart and Sandra C. (Marshall) Capehart of Surfside Beach, SC.

Sean was a graduate of Wahama High School, Class of 1988 and Buckeye Hills Career Center in Gallipolis, where he received his C.N.A. Certification.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, William B. and Dorothy (Whited) Capehart; maternal grandparents, William K. and Flora (Blevins) Marshall; and special maternal great-grandmother, Dixie Blevins.

Sean is survived by his parents, Dr. William and Sandra Capehart; sister, Amy (Craig) Kammer of Huntington; brother, Dr. Kim (Katherine) Capehart and their children Izzie and Atticus of Evans, Georgia; nieces, Kiersten (Tyler) Hendrick of Wytheville, VA and their children Uriah, Jonah and Norah; Katelynn (Alec) Plants of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Kierra (Garrett) Jeffries of Eleanor, WV.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Bill Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Cemetery in New Haven.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
