Sarah Elizabeth Ebert

Sarah Elizabeth Ebert, 18, of Letart, WV, went home to be with her Lord Sunday, September 6, 2015. She was born November 27, 1996, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Lisa L. Humphrey Ebert and Michael S. Ebert of Point Pleasant. Sarah attended Heights United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant and was active with the youth of the church. She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 2015 and was enrolled at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, pursuing a practical nursing degree. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Clarence R. Ebert and Carol J. (Dabney) Ebert Powell; and one uncle, Brian Ebert. She is survived by her father, Michael S. Ebert of Point Pleasant; one brother, Jesse Thomas Ebert of Point Pleasant; half brother, Joshua David Lanham of Charlotte, NC; maternal grandparents, James Richard and Geneva M. Humphrey of Letart; one uncle, Scott Humphrey of Lavalette, WV; and several great aunts and uncles. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Josh Searls and Pastor Charles Marker officiating. Burial will follow at Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, for those considering an expression of sympathy, memorials are requested to be made to the Heights United Methodist Church, Scholarship Fund, 2016 North Main Street, Point Pleasant, WV 25550.
