Ruth Esther Tygrett, 85, of Point Pleasant, died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at her home. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, a retired chief telephone operator for C&P and a homemaker. Ruth was born September 17, 1923 in Middleport, Ohio to the late Samuel Milton Hamilton and Clara Frances (Weiseman)Hamilton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald D. Tygrett. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Jay Taylor of Point Pleasant; and Frances and Virgil Smaltz of Wheeling, WV; and five grandchildren, Dustin (Linda) Taylor, Nick Taylor, Jason Smaltz, Kristin Smaltz and Lauren Smaltz. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Moran officiating. Burial will follow at the Kirkland Memorial Garden in Point Pleasant.
