Ruth Pearl Durst

Ruth Pearl Durst, 87, of Point Pleasant, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. She was born January 30, 1935, in Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Joe Stevenson and Edna (Griffith) Stevenson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents who raised her, William and Pearl Griffith; brothers, Posey Stevenson and Ernest Lee Grymes; and a sister, Mary Snowden. Ruth was a graduate of Logan High School and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Dana C. Durst of Point Pleasant; and a son, Dana Keith Durst of Brandon, FL. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Reverend Annetta J. Durst officiating.Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Tuesday at the funeral home.
