Rosemary "Rosebud" (Landry) Stevens, 88, of Point Pleasant, died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 22, 1923, in New Iberia, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Albert Landry and Clara (David) Landry. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Point Pleasant, co-founder of Stevens Funeral Home, a member of the Pleasant Valley Hospital Auxiliary, and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Roosevelt Stevens; a son, Theodore Roosevelt Stevens II; and four brothers, Albert Landry, Henry Landry, Ernest Landry, and Earl Landry. Rosemary is survived by three daughters, Patty (Larry) Pyles of Gallipolis Ferry, Linda Henry of Point Pleasant, and Cathy Stevens of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Michael (Diane) Stevens of Louisville, Kentucky; one sister, Wanda Cambre of New Iberia, Louisiana; and one brother, Ralph Landry of New Iberia, Louisiana; ten grandchildren, LaDonna Carr, L.D. Pyles, Renee Fortuna, Michelle Simpkins, Stephen Henry, Joey Stevens, Jona Stevens, Trey Stevens, Kevin Stevens, and Erin Stevens; eighteen great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Minister Joe Hammack and L.D. Pyles officiating.
