Rosella "Rose" Springer

Rosella "Rose" Springer, 71, of Gallipolis, OH, died Thursday, March 31, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born January 10, 1945, in Ashton, a daughter of the late Amon L. Wray and Edna Irene (Long) Wray. Rose was a childcare provider, caring for children many years in her home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Springer; one son, Kevin Woyan; and two sisters, Alma Wray and Bernice Flory. She is survived by two daughters, Edna (Springer) Milstead and husband Read of Gallipolis, OH, Lisa Lynn Mount and husband Richard of Bidwell, OH; two sons, Ronald Edward Springer Jr. and wife Trudy of Crown City, OH and Roger Springer of Gallipolis, OH; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Ashley Clarke, Brittany Nicole Mount, R.J. Christopher Springer, Adam Mount, Andrew Milstead, Tessa Paige Springer and Tracy Devin Springer; two sisters, Edna Edmonds of Glenwood and Bonnie Denney of Bladensburg, OH; two brothers Kenneth Wray of Point Pleasant and Charles Wray and wife Wanda of Gallipolis Ferry; and special friends, Charlie and Bertha Eads. A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2016, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Darrell Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Cheshire, OH. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
