Roger Lee Peck

Roger L. Peck, 73, of Point Pleasant, went to be with his loving Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

He was born July 6, 1950, in Gallipolis, OH, a son of the late Homer Peck and Hazel Edith (Thomas) Peck.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Keith Peck, Donald Peck and Charles Peck; and sisters, Ruth Thomas and Eleanor Keefer.

Roger was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School class of 1968 and a graduate of Rio Grande University. He was a member of Leon United Memorial Church, loved poetry, hunting trips out west, trout fishing in the mountains, camping in the woods and working on the farm. He was a "kid magnet" and had great compassion for children, his church and the surrounding community. He retired from James Gavin Plant to enjoy his life with his family, friends and the churches in the surrounding area. He enjoyed helping others and was a volunteer of the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Program.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debi Peck and his special little companion Max, both of which he loved and adored; a sister, Frances (Don) Cantrell; three brothers, Steve (Betty) Peck, Larry (Becky) Peck and Mike (Rhonda) Peck; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Joe Nott officiating. Burial will follow at the Yauger Cemetery in Leon. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Leon United Memorial Church, 1386 Quinton Lane, Leon, WV 25123.
