Rodney Dale Pearson

Rodney D. Pearson, 63, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at home. He was born June 19, 1957, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Dale F. Pearson and Anna Belle (Bateman) Pearson Stephens. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles Edwin Stephens. Rodney was a member of Faith Gospel Church in Gallipolis Ferry and Minturn Lodge 19 A.F. & A.M of Point Pleasant.He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1975 and had attended West Virginia University and Marshall University. He retired with 23 yrs. service from AEP/ Mountaineer Plant in New Haven, WV. He is survived by his children, Trevor Dale (Angela Clark) Pearson of Gallipolis, OH, Stephen Tyler Pearson of Ashland, KY and Chynna Moriah (Steve Violet) Pearson of Ashland; a grandson, Ashton Dale Pearson of Huber Heights, OH; mother, Anna B. Stephens of Centerville, OH; sisters, Charlotte (Craig) Karges of Wheeling, WV and Brenda (John) Jewell of Centerville; a nephew, Jason (Brittany) Jewell of Centerville; former wife, Leah Atkinson of Gallipolis; and additional family and friends. A private family burial will be held at a later date.Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
