Robin Ann Gainer

Robin Ann Gainer, 60, of Point Pleasant, closed her eyes on this earth and woke up in the arms of Jesus, Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, OH. She was born October 17, 1958, in Gallipolis, a daughter of the late David A. Gainer and Golda Gladys (Hoskins) Hess of Point Pleasant. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Rev. Paul E. Hess; maternal grandparents, Euell and Eunice Hoskins; paternal grandparents, Robert and Hazel Baker; aunts and uncles, Blanche Cox, Ruth Bartlett, Lakin Greathouse, Richard Cox, Steve Bartlett and Hugh Rickard; and special friend Marylin Higginbotham. Robin was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Point Pleasant. Her passion was loving Jesus with her whole heart, loving her family and church family. Robin is survived by her mother, Golda Hess; a brother, David Shane Gainer of Point Pleasant; aunts and uncles, Virginia Greathouse, Tacie (Chester) Kincaid, Marilyn (Robert) Bostaph, Laura (Larry) Robinson, Dotty Rickard, Euell (Imogene) Hoskins, Harold (Carolyn) Hoskins, and Rev. Richard (Donna) Hoskins; a special friend, Karen Luckeydoo; and numerous cousins and friends. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Doug Hendrixson, Pastor Charles Marker and Rev. Richard Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow at the Eventide Cemetery in Spencer, WV. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
