Robert Allen Weethee Sr.

Robert Allen Weethee Sr., 60, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Monday, March 2, 2020, in Gallipolis, OH. He was born December 8, 1959, in Columbus, OH, a son of the late John Wesley Weethee Sr. and Okla E. (Messick) Weethee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Sheline; and brothers, Clinton Weethee and Stephen Weethee. Robert was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1977 and employed by Ohio Valley Supermarkets of Gallipolis. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who never met a stranger. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Brock) Weethee of Scott Depot; children, Robert "Robbie" A. Jr. (Rachel) Weethee of Gallipolis Ferry, Garth L. (Kendra) Weethee of Coolville, OH, Andrea J. (Ethan) Weethee of Columbus, OH, Kami R. (David) Anderson of Gallipolis Ferry and James E. (Cassi) Anderson of Teays Valley, WV; a sister, Jeanie Bledsoe of Gallipolis Ferry; brother, John Jr. (Vickie) Weethee of Gallipolis Ferry; 10 grandchildren; and his beloved dog Rocky. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Ray Dewitt officiating. Burial will follow at the R.A. Weethee Family Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Saturday at the funeral home.
