Robert Ray "Bobby" Wamsley, 67, of Point Pleasant went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 8, 2009, following a long illness. He was a member of First Church of God in Point Pleasant, Loyal Order of Moose, and had worked for the City of Point Pleasant. Bobby was born September 12, 1941 in Point Pleasant to the late Charles W. Wamsley and Julieann (Millage) Wamsley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Franklin Wamsley; and one sister, Betty Wamsley. Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Wanda Wamsley of Point Pleasant; daughters, Vickie (James) Hollingshead, Tammy (Bryan) Thompson both of Point Pleasant; one son, Steven (Hollie) Wamsley of Point Pleasant; brothers, Denny (Nancy) Wamsley of Cambridge, OH, and Mike (Gloria) Wamsley of North Carolina; grandchildren, Jessica Thompson of Winfield, Nathan Hollingshead of Huntington, Brittany Hollingshead, Christopher Thompson, Kayla Brumfield, Tyler Wamsley, and Rilie Wamsley all of Point Pleasant; great grandchildren, Braylon Thompson and Charles Delanhoussaye; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Carl Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery at Letart, WV.
