Robert Lee Shaw

Robert Lee Shaw, 70, of Point Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at home. He was born November 25, 1951, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Leo F. Shaw and Mary F. (McCarty) Shaw. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Leo Bradley Shaw; and a sister, Connie Sue Dalton. Robert was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1969.He was a member of the Kanawha Valley Lodge No. 36 AF & AM of Buffalo, WV and served as a board member for the Point Pleasant River Museum.He retired from the United States Navy and the AEP Lakin River Division as captain.In his spare time he loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara A. (Cunningham) Shaw of Point Pleasant; a son, Robert "Robbie" F. Shaw of Point Pleasant; grandson, Zachary Scott Shaw of Point Pleasant; brother-in-law, Tommy Dalton of Ona, WV; and a niece. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Mark Harris officiating.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Sunday at the funeral home.Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
