Robert Earnest Cromley

Robert Earnest Cromley, 89, of Point Pleasant, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023, at Rivers Health in Point Pleasant.

He was born August 1, 1934, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Edward A. Cromley and Macy (Cooper) Cromley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta J. (Shaffer) Cromley; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward A. Cromley III and wife Doris; and sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Lear and husband Eugene and Bonnie Klein .

Bob was a member of New Hope Bible Baptist Church in Point Pleasant.  He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1951 and retired from Kaiser Aluminum.  He was a member of Minturn Lodge #19 A.F & A.M. of Point Pleasant and the Beni Kedem Shrine in Charleston, WV.

He is survived by daughters, Susan K. (Rodney) Plants of Point Pleasant and Ruth L. Gillespie of Point Pleasant; three grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Annetta Durst officiating.  Burial will follow at the Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service Thursday at the funeral home.
