Robert Reed Blain

Robert Reed Blain, 71, of Gallipolis, OH, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, at home.

He was born October 2, 1952, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Harvey O. "Brownie" Blain and Ruth "Ma" (Melton) Blain.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harvey D. Blain and Charles Richard Blain; and a brother-in-law, Ed Sommer.

Reed was a member of the Beech Hill United Methodist Church in Southside, WV.  He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1970 and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in Cincinnati, OH.

He is survived by sisters, Nancy Ann (Jim) Blevins of Bidwell, OH and Ruth Ellen Sommer of Southside; a sister-in-law, Betsy Blain of Point Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Beech Hill Cemetery in Southside.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
