Rita Sue Beattie

Rita Sue Beattie 56, of Point Pleasant died Thursday, March 23, 2006 at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born February 4, 1950 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Wayne Lewis Harrison and Minnie V. (Drummond)Harrison of Gallipolis, Ohio. Rita was a homemaker and retired cook from the Mason County School System, and graduated from Hannan Trace High School. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Paul V. Harrison and Wayne Eugene Harrison. Surviving in addition to her mother, are her husband Royall Beattie of Point Pleasant, daughter and son-in-law; Rebecca and Mike Hall of Point Pleasant, son; Jonathan Beattie of Point Pleasant, three sisters; Linda Mayes of Columbus, Ohio, Edith Jackson Callicoat of Gallipolis,Ohio and Thelma Skidmore of Gallipolis, Ohio, three brothers and sisters-in-law; Gary and Debbie Harrison of Gallipolis, Ohio, Mike and LeAnn Harrison of Crown City, Ohio, James and Sue Harrison of Tucson, Arizona, and grandchildren; Harry Lee Queen, Jr., Lila Marie Beattie, Sophie Grace Beattie, and Joel Andrew Beattie all of Point Pleasant. Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 26, 2006 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Eugene Harrison, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Street Cemetery in Gallipolis, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
