Richard Lee Willet

Richard Lee Willet, 52, of Point Pleasant, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Holzer Medical Center, in Gallipolis, OH. He was born July 25, 1968, in Columbus, OH, a son of the late Edward Acie Willet and Goldie Louella (Blake) Willet of Point Pleasant. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Dakota Bryant Willet; sister, Karen Willet; and nieces, Amanda Willet and Jessica Willet. Richard was a newspaper carrier for the Charleston Gazette and a great lover of cats, he was affectionately known as "Cat Man". In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Leah Dawn (Spears) Willet of Oak Hill, OH; a sister, Carol Ann McCoy of Mason; two brothers, Edward A. (Donna) Willet Jr. of Gallipolis, and Herbert W. Willet of Point Pleasant; and four nieces and a nephew. There will be no public services. Private burial will be held in Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
