Quentin H. "Wimpy" Wickline, of Point Pleasant died Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at home. He was born in Hinton, WV to the late Woodville W. and Myrtle (Zimmerman) Wickline. In additon to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Woodville Wickline III, sisters, Brenda O'Dell and Eleanor Laing; and brothers, Ralph, Eddie, Harry and Woody Wickline. Wimpy was a member of the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and an Army veteran serving in the Korean War, and was a retired customer service representative for Appalachian Power Company with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant, V.F.W., Sons of the American Revolution, Mason County Democratic Committee, Lion's Club and was a recipient of the WSAZ's Hometown Hero Award for all of his volunteerism in his community. He is survived by his wife Dixie L. (Willis) Wickline whom he married October 28, 1960, a daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Greg Pelfrey of Barboursville, WV, son and daughter-in-law, John and Michelle Wickline of Clarksburg, WV, grandchildren, Ty and Carrie Wickline of Clarksburg, WV, step-grandchildren, Carrie and Darren Espey of Houston, TX, and Jill and Steve Connolly of Hurricane, WV, step-great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Emma Espey of Houston, TX, and Patrick and Brendan Connolly of Hurricane, WV. Additional survivors are nieces, Kay Craig of St. Albans, WV, Lynda Nester of Williamsburg, VA; nephews, Rev. Robert Tabscott of St. Louis, MO, and Eddie McCall of Beckley, WV. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2006 at the Pt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Holland officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville, WV. Visitation will be Thursday, August 10, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, and one hour prior to the service at the church Friday.
