Phyllis Jean (Forbes) Plants, 84, of Winfield, WV, died Friday, June 12, 2015 at Angel Avenue Assisted Living, Hurricane, WV. She was born July 25, 1930 in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Joseph Wesley Forbes and Opal Pauline (Love) Forbes. Phyllis was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1949 and had worked for C & P and A T & T Phone Companies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Patrick "Bill" Forbes. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Duane L. Plants of Winfield; one daughter, Barbara Haddad of St. Albans; two grandchildren, Griffin Matthew (Morgann) Haddad of Moundsville and Erin Christine Haddad (Will) Smith of Morgantown; four great grandchildren, Wyatt Haddad, Evey Belle Haddad, Jackson Smith, and Blair Smith; two brothers, Joseph H. "Joe" (Bev) Forbes of Point Pleasant and Cliff Wolff of Homer, AK; and sister, Lavon (Tommy) Thompson of Proctorville, OH. A graveside service and burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Joe Hammack officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service at the graveside.
