Penny Ann Leport

Penny Ann Leport, 64, of Henderson, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. She was born May 3, 1957, a daughter of the late Amanda Mae (Lee) Burns and Daniel Ray Burns. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Michael Leport Sr; a daughter, Heather Renee Cottrell; brother, Danny Ray Burns Jr.; a sister, Reatha McVey; and a brother-in-law, Carroll Eugene "Twig" Bates Sr. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Ernest Michael Jr. and Heather Leport and Toby and Joanie Leport all of Henderson; 11 grandchildren, Alie (Kody) Oldaker, T.J. Leport, Joseph Leport, Trista Leport, Andy Leport, Wyatt Leport, Jase Leport, Hazel Leport, Desirea (David) Wallace, Jaden Bush, and Aaron Bush; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Nannie Bates of Point Pleasant; and a nephew, Carroll Eugene "Little Twig" Bates Jr. of Point Pleasant. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Bert Flora officiating.Burial will follow at the Henderson Cemetery in Henderson.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Thursday at the funeral home.
