Peggy Lenore Burgess

Peggy L. Burgess, 83, of Point Pleasant, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Eldercare of Ripley, Ripley, WV.She was born August 11, 1934, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late George E. Kapp and Edith Effie (Thomas) Roush. Peggy was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1952 and retired from Pleasant Valley Hospital.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clyde and Edna Thomas; and one son James A. Burgess III.Peggy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon A. and William "Bill" Stover of Letart; two grandsons, Frank (Robin) Fetty of Eleanor, WV and James D. (Nissin) Bartles of Omaha, NB; a granddaughter, DeAnna L. Bartles of St. Albans, WV; four great-grandchildren, Payton, Hayton, and Brylee Fetty of Eleanor and Hailey Akers of St. Albans; and one sister, Karen R. Roush of Homer, AK.A private graveside service and burial will be Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Jonathan Pinson officiating.
