Peggy Ann Barker

Peggy Ann Barker, 74, of Point Pleasant, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021, at her home. Peggy was born November 6, 1946, in Point Pleasant, to the late Audrey Lee and James Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marcella Chapman; one brother, Harold Lee; ex-husband, Perry Barker; and great-grandsons, Bryson Cody Lee Roush, Jaxen Allen Bonecutter and Jacen Dale Bonecutter. Peggy attended Point Pleasant High School and later earned her GED.She was a former employee of the Department of Health and Human Resources for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and listening to music, dancing and cooking. She is survived by a daughter, Lucinda "Cindy" Ann (Bonecutter) Roush of Point Pleasant; son, Homer "Bubby" Lee(Misti Howard) Bonecutter of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Keshia Leigh Bonecutter (Donald) Scaggs of New Haven, Taley Shae (Stephen Berkley) Roush of Point Pleasant, Cheyenne "Cody" Roush of Point Pleasant and Trasawn Lee (Ashley) Bonecutter of Point Pleasant; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris (James) Lilly of Gallipolis Ferry; and many close friends who have become like family to her.There are two very special friends, Wanda O'Dell and Shawn Bonecutter who have not missed a day in years, stopping by to visit. Peggy has touched the lives and hearts of everyone she has ever come in contact with throughout her life.She has shown such strength, love and kindness to us all.She will be greatly missed.There will never be anyone else like Peggy and with her death comes a huge void in our hearts that only she could fill. A graveside service and burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Wyoma Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry, with Pastor Roger Bonecutter officiating.The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.Social distancing will be observed and face masks are required.
