Paul Eugene Rayburn

Paul Eugene Rayburn, 87, of Point Pleasant, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Pleasant Valley Healthcare in Point Pleasant.

He was born November 15, 1936, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Dana Granville Rayburn and Edith (Barnette) Rayburn.

Paul was a member of Faith Gospel Church of Gallipolis Ferry.  He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1954, served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and was a heavy equipment operator with Union Local 132 of Huntington.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty R. Rayburn; daughters, Peggy Rayburn and Christine Rayburn; sisters, Barbara Neal and Patricia Chasko; and brothers, Thomas Rayburn, Lewis Rayburn, Leslie Rayburn, Dana Rayburn and Joseph Rayburn.

Paul is survived by his children, Gary E. (Jodi) Rayburn of Rutland, OH, JoAnne Colegrove of Point Pleasant, Brian (Megan) Rayburn of Point Pleasant, Yvonne Rayburn of New Haven and Jason (Nancy) Rayburn of Mt. Alto, WV; a sister, Velma (Glenn) Pearson of Lancaster, OH; brother, Lawrence Rayburn of Point Pleasant; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and a special family friend, Sandi Oliver Rayburn of Florida.

A private graveside service and burial will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery in Letart, WV.  Military graveside honors will be given by the Stewart-Johnson VFW Post of Mason and the Air Force Honor Guard.
