Patty Lou Ridenour

Patty Lou Ridenour, 87, of Leon, WV, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born February 4, 1936, in Leon, a daughter of the late Charles Bernard Connolly and Sylvia Eldora (Taylor) Connolly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Gabritsch and a brother, Bernard Connolly.

Patty was a member of the Mount Zion Church in Leon and a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1955.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved cooking, canning and gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Walter D. Ridenour Jr. of Leon; daughters, Beverly Ann (Andy) Fetty of Pomeroy, OH, Monica Lou (Donnie) Smith of Cincinnati, OH, Charlotte Rae (Steven) Norvell of Leon and Amy JoLynn (Randy) McGuire of Oak Hill, OH; nine grandchildren, Christopher Streetman, Allison (Greg) Norris, Candice (Brad) Butler, Andrea (Andy) Myers, Michael (Andy) Lyons, Clarisa (Ethan) Lyons, Steven Jr. (Stacy) Norvell, Kiona (Bo) Ashworth and Jon McGuire; 11 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

A private family graveside service and burial will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the Roc-N-R Farm Cemetery in Leon, with Pastor Joe Nott officiating. Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.
